Shown here is the complete stabilizer kit which includes everything you need. This complete kit includes, the stabilizer, Link-arm, new SUB mount/Bar mount assembly(ready for stock oversize bars), billet aluminum frame bracket, tower pin, instructions and all necessary hardware. This kit will raise the bars by 3mm. The bar mounts are reversible to achieve 2 different mounting positions, position 1 is 14mm forward of stock, and position 2 is 24mm forward of stock, both of which are normally desirable on this bike. All parts are anodized or plated for protection from the elements. The Stabilizer is a significant improvement to the handling and stability of this big Adventure bike.

An Off-Road stabilizer has free rebound damping, meaning it dampens from the center out but is free rebound back to center. This feature was designed to keep the rider from fighting the damping forces when correcting for slides, common to dirt riding, and helps prevent "arm pump" for aggressive riders, an option only found on Scotts Stabilizers.

"SUB" mount stands for Stabilizer Under Bars, originally designed for raising the bars. These kits are designed for use with Oversize bars. "Bar reducers" are available as an option, to convert the kit to standard diameter bars, should that be desired. This concept allows more room for other equipment such as, Global Positioning Systems(GPS) or Enduro/Rally computers and yet still retain the quick access for adjusting the stabilizer. This is also good for the taller rider who wants his bars a little higher, as it raises the bar location approximately 11-25mm, depending on the model of bike. In some cases, you might consider a lower bend handlebar bend at the same time, unless you are trying to achieve a higher bar height along with your stabilizer installation.
